  5. COMMAND TYPE: Internal                  VERSION: 2.0 and up

  7. USE: VERIFY [ON] [OFF]

  9. ON  will turn VERIFY ON
  10. OFF will turn VERIFY OFF.

  12. With no argument, VERIFY will report the current setting of VERIFY.
  13. When VERIFY is ON, DOS will check to see if data written was written
  14. correctly.  With VERIFY ON, all disk operations (copy, xcopy, diskcopy
  15. etc. will be slower)
